Better things to report
I am pleased to report that things were more productive today.
I did not actually get started at 1 p.m. More like 3 p.m. Reason is is because I got with fatigue again, and so once again had to lay down for a nap. Although it was only for an hour, I often have trouble getting started, once I get up.
Still, I did manage to do what I set out to do. I redesigned the website somewhat – putting on a crucial piece. Now people who sign on can see what been put on new – and immediately be taken to that particular area.
It took some doing, and I had to really think it through, but I finally figured out how to pull it off. Now, I have to figure out how to make the “Like” buttons work properly.
I went to the lecture on Galileo at the observatory. Although I promised I was going to put it up when I got back, I changed my mind. I figured that no one was going to be eagerly waiting for it, so I decided instead to do it tomorrow. That would be best, because I’ve got plenty of time, and I won’t have to work into the wee hours of the morning.
That’s about it. I probably could have done more, but I yielded to temptation again and played WoW after I got back. Still, I think that all told, I think I got some significant things accomplished.
And now, for that big moment (the envelop, please) – today’s bad joke!
One time, the patriarch of a family business was lying on his deathbed. Surrounding him, crying and moaning, were members of his family.
“My dearest wife,” the man whispered. “Are you here?”
“Yes Papa,” his wife answered, sobbing.
“And Paul, my oldest son, is he here,” the father asked.
“Yes Papa,” the wife cried.
“And Lisa, my daughter, is she here,” the man asked.
“Yes Papa,” the wife said.
“And little David, my youngest, is he here?” the patriarch asked faintly.
“Yes Papa,” his wife confirmed.
The old man then sat up in bed, raised himself to his full height and thundered.
“Then who’s minding the store!”
